⚠️ Important: By using OneTouch TaxApp you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. About OneTouch TaxApp

OneTouch TaxApp is operated by justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa ("we", "us", "our"). The app provides tax preparation and financial organisation tools for South African individuals and businesses.

2. Nature of the Service

OneTouch TaxApp is a preparation and organisation tool — not a registered tax practitioner, financial advisor, or legal advisor. Documents, calculations, and summaries generated by the app are:

  • Based solely on data you enter
  • For reference and preparation purposes only
  • Not official SARS submissions or returns
  • Not audited, certified, or verified by any professional body
You are solely responsible for verifying all figures and submitting accurate returns to SARS. OneTouch accepts no liability for penalties, interest, or assessments arising from any SARS submission.

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older and legally entitled to enter into contracts in South Africa. By registering, you confirm this.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful information
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them
  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the platform
  • Not use the service to facilitate tax evasion or fraud

5. Subscription & Billing

Paid plans (Starter at R299/month and Business at R499/month) are billed monthly and are paid upfront before accessing the service. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which no further charges are made.

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied within the first 7 days of your first payment, you are entitled to a full refund — no questions asked. See our Refund Policy for details.

6. Intellectual Property

All software, design, content and trademarks belonging to OneTouch TaxApp are the property of justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the service without written permission.

Your data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of any financial data, invoices or documents you create within the app.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any SARS penalties, interest, or assessments
  • Loss of data due to technical failure
  • Financial loss arising from reliance on app-generated figures
  • Indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature at any time.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. You may delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently deletes all your data.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.

Platform Usage
Fair Usage Policy
Last updated: March 2026 · justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd t/a OneTouch TaxApp
Short version: Our paid plans are designed for normal business use. We monitor usage to keep the platform fast and available for everyone — not to restrict legitimate users.

1. Purpose

OneTouch TaxApp offers generous feature access on Pro and Full plans. This Fair Usage Policy exists to protect the stability, performance, and cost sustainability of the service for all users — not to limit normal, good-faith business activity.

2. Monitored Features

To ensure system stability and fair access, OneTouch may monitor usage of the following features:

  • AI assistant — conversational queries sent to our AI processing infrastructure
  • WhatsApp messaging — invoice and document delivery via WhatsApp
  • Email delivery — invoice and document delivery via email

Usage data is collected on a per-user, per-month basis and resets at the start of each calendar month.

3. Acceptable Use

Usage is considered acceptable when it is consistent with normal, day-to-day business operations — for example, sending invoices to clients, querying the AI assistant for tax guidance, or delivering documents to recipients you have a legitimate commercial relationship with.

4. Excessive or Abusive Use

Usage that falls outside normal business patterns may be subject to review. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Automated or scripted use of AI, WhatsApp, or email features
  • Bulk or unsolicited messaging to contacts not associated with genuine invoices
  • Systematic, high-volume AI querying inconsistent with individual business use
  • Using the platform as an infrastructure layer for third-party services

5. Consequences of Excessive Use

Where usage is determined to be excessive or abusive, OneTouch reserves the right to take proportionate action, which may include:

  • Temporary throttling of the affected feature
  • Reduced performance on high-volume requests
  • Restriction or suspension of the affected feature pending review
  • Contact from our support team to discuss your usage needs

We will always endeavour to notify you before taking any action and to work with you to find a resolution. Account suspension under this policy is a last resort.

6. No Hard Limits for Normal Use

This policy is not intended to impose hard numeric limits on legitimate users. If your usage reflects genuine business activity — even at higher-than-average volumes — you are unlikely to be affected by this policy.

7. Contact

If you believe your account has been affected in error, or if you have high-volume business needs you'd like to discuss, please contact us at support@onetouch.net.za.

Data Protection
Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Short version: We collect only what we need to run the app. We never sell your data. You can delete everything at any time.

1. Who We Are

justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. K2025049314) t/a OneTouch TaxApp, registered in South Africa. We are the "responsible party" under POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013).

2. What We Collect

Account data: Email address and name when you sign up.

Business profile data: Business name, entity type, VAT registration status, PAYE details, financial year end — entered by you.

Financial data: Invoices, expenses, quotes, bank statement data, and figures you enter into the app — entered by you.

Technical data: Login timestamps, browser type, and app usage patterns to improve the service.

Usage metrics: On Pro and Full plans, we track monthly counts of AI assistant queries, WhatsApp messages sent, and emails delivered. This data is stored against your account and used solely for service operation and fair usage monitoring — it is not shared with third parties.

We do not collect: ID numbers, banking passwords, or any information beyond what you voluntarily enter.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the OneTouch TaxApp service
  • To generate tax preparation documents from your entered figures
  • To send important service notifications (not marketing spam)
  • To improve app features based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not: sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating the service.

4. AI Processing

On Pro and Full plans, bank statement content and chat queries are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing. This is done over an encrypted connection. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. We send only the minimum data required to generate your results.

5. Usage Monitoring

We collect aggregate usage metrics (AI calls, messages, emails) per user per month for the following purposes:

  • Service optimisation — to understand which features are most used and improve performance
  • Performance monitoring — to identify and address unusual load on our infrastructure
  • Cost management — to ensure the service remains financially sustainable and fairly priced

These metrics do not contain the content of your messages or AI queries — only a count of events. They are governed by our Fair Usage Policy and are never used for advertising or profiling.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security — meaning no other user can access your data. All connections use TLS encryption. Access is protected by your authentication credentials.

7. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following processors, each bound by their own data processing agreements and applicable data protection law:

  • Supabase Inc. (USA/EU) — database and authentication infrastructure. Your financial and profile data is stored on Supabase servers with row-level security and TLS encryption.
  • Anthropic PBC (USA) — AI processing (Pro/Full plans only, opt-in features). Bank statement content and chat queries are transmitted over an encrypted connection solely to generate your results.
  • PayFast (Pty) Ltd (South Africa) — payment processing. Billing data only; no financial app data or personal financial records are shared with PayFast.
  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Inc., USA) — When you use the "Send via WhatsApp" feature, your device opens WhatsApp directly with a pre-filled message. No data is transmitted to Meta by OneTouch — the message is composed on your device and sent through your own WhatsApp account in the normal way.
  • Google LLC (USA) — authentication services. When you sign in with Google, your email address and Google account identifier are shared with Supabase to create and manage your account. No other Google account data is accessed.
  • Resend Inc. (USA) — transactional email delivery. When you send an invoice by email or receive a service notification, your email address and the email content are transmitted to Resend solely to deliver the message.
  • Sentry (Functional Software Inc., USA) — error monitoring and diagnostics. If the app encounters a technical error, anonymised error data including your user ID (not your name or email) may be transmitted to Sentry to help us identify and fix issues. No financial data is included in error reports.
  • Vercel Inc. (USA) — application hosting and infrastructure. All app traffic passes through Vercel's servers. Vercel processes request metadata (IP address, browser type) as part of normal hosting operations. No financial app data is stored by Vercel.

We do not share your data with SARS, accountants, government bodies or any other third party without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

8. Accountant Access

On the Full plan, you can generate a time-limited accountant access link. This is entirely voluntary. You control who receives the link and can revoke it at any time. The linked party can read your financial summary but cannot modify or delete your data.

9. Your Rights

Under POPIA and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Object to processing for marketing purposes
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

To exercise these rights: [email protected]

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal and financial data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

11. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

12. Children

OneTouch TaxApp is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Tax Disclaimer
Please read carefully before using any tax preparation features
⚠️ Critical: OneTouch TaxApp is not a registered tax practitioner. Nothing in this app constitutes professional tax advice.

Not a Tax Practitioner

justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd t/a OneTouch TaxApp is not registered with the South African Institute of Tax Professionals (SAIT), the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), or any other professional body. We are not a registered tax practitioner as defined in Section 240 of the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011.

Preparation Tool Only

All documents generated by OneTouch — including VAT201 summaries, EMP201 payroll prep, IRP6 estimates, ITR14 preparation packs, and bookkeeper handoff packs — are:

  • Derived solely from figures you have entered into the app
  • Preparation and reference documents only
  • Not verified, audited, or certified by any professional
  • Not official SARS forms or submissions
  • Not guaranteed to be accurate or complete

Your Responsibility

Before submitting any return or payment to SARS, you must:

  • Verify all figures against your source documents (invoices, bank statements, payroll records)
  • Have figures reviewed by a registered tax practitioner if you are uncertain
  • Submit only through official SARS channels — eFiling (sarsefiling.co.za) or a SARS branch

AI-Generated Content

The AI assistant and bank statement analysis features use large language models which can produce errors. AI-generated tax guidance:

  • Should never be relied upon as definitive tax advice
  • May not reflect the latest legislative changes
  • Should always be verified against official SARS publications

No Liability

justadopeboy (Pty) Ltd accepts no liability for:

  • SARS penalties, interest, administrative non-compliance penalties (ANCs) or assessments
  • Errors arising from incorrect data entered by users
  • Losses arising from reliance on any figure, calculation or guidance from the app
  • Any consequences of submitting incorrect returns to SARS

Official SARS Resources

Always consult official sources for authoritative tax guidance:

  • sars.gov.za — SARS official website
  • sarsefiling.co.za — eFiling portal
  • sait.org.za — Find a registered tax practitioner
AI Features
AI Usage Policy
Applies to Pro and Full plan features
AI features are optional. They are available on Starter and Business plans. AI processing is only triggered when you actively use the AI assistant, bank analysis, or tax tips features — your data is never sent to AI automatically.

Which Features Use AI

  • Bank statement analysis — your uploaded statement text is sent to Claude AI for categorisation and analysis
  • AI tax assistant — your questions and business context are sent to Claude AI for responses
  • Tax saving tips — your business summary is sent to Claude AI for recommendations

What Data Is Sent

Only the minimum data required to generate results is sent to the AI. For bank analysis this includes statement text. For the assistant this includes your question and basic business profile (type, VAT status). We never send: ID numbers, banking passwords, or full personal profiles.

AI Provider

We use Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's handling of data is governed by their Privacy Policy and Usage Policies.

Accuracy Limitations

AI models can make mistakes. All AI-generated content in OneTouch is:

  • A starting point for your own review — not a final answer
  • Subject to errors, hallucinations, or outdated information
  • Not a substitute for professional tax advice

Bank Statement Analysis Accuracy

The AI is instructed to only extract data it can actually read — it never estimates or invents figures. Where it cannot read a value clearly, it returns blank and flags it for manual review. Despite this, you should always verify the extracted figures against your original bank statement before using them in any tax submission.

Opting Out

You can opt out of AI features at any time by simply not using them. Downgrading to the Free plan removes access to all AI features and no further data is sent to the AI provider.

Monthly AI Call Limits

Pro plan includes 10 AI assistant calls per month. Full plan includes unlimited AI calls. Bank statement analysis calls are separate and not counted against the assistant limit.
